Transferring Your Domain to Webnames.ca

Before transferring a domain to Webnames.ca, please ensure:

  • The domain was registered or transferred more than 60 days ago.

  • The domain is not expired or in redemption status.

  • You have access to the domain's Registrant or Administrative Contact email address.

  • DNS settings are documented if you intend to recreate them elsewhere.

  • Any domain privacy or transfer protection services have been disabled if required by the current registrar.

Most transfers complete within 5-7 days, although some registrars allow you to approve and expedite the transfer. ICANN transfer restrictions may prevent transfers within 60 days of registration, a prior transfer, or certain ownership/contact changes.
